The nearby dining scene is a pure delight! We stumbled upon Menya Inoichi Hanare, and wow—the ramen was to die for. Plus, the ambiance at Sugarhill Kyoto made our dining experience feel special. And let's not forget the friendly, helpful staff who guided us through the culinary treasures nearby!
While I loved the vibe of the ryokan, I wish they offered coffee options in the morning without extra charge. It felt a bit off given the lovely luxurious atmosphere.

The spacious room featured tatami mats and a large bathroom, creating a comfortable stay. Excellent strong wifi was a plus, and the staff were friendly with good English skills. The location was convenient, just a short walk from a popular ramen restaurant and a convenience store. However, the room was a bit tight for parking luggage, and the Ryokan did not offer dining options that I tried during my visit.

The traditional decor exudes a calming vibe, perfect for relaxation after exploring the area. The location is stellar with attractions like Gion, temples, and Nishiki Market easily accessible within walking distance.
However, the Wi-Fi signal leaves much to be desired, making it a challenge to stay connected. The noise from nearby eateries can creep in, particularly during late hours, which might not sit well with light sleepers. Additionally, planning ahead for breakfast choices and private bath bookings is essential, as availability can be hit or miss without prior arrangements.

A cozy, unique stay!
Had an awesome time at this ryokan! The room was super clean, loved the traditional tatami mats and the yukata they provided. Staff were super nice, even helped with ice for my knee. The bar had tasty sake options, but the room could've used more light. Overall, great way to soak in the Kyoto vibes!
